SlotMatic has secured four finalist nominations at the EGR Italy Awards 2026, earning recognition across the wider technology model behind its development.
The platform has been shortlisted for Innovation in Casino, Full-Service Platform Provider and Software Supplier, while Domenico Vacchiano, Founder and Chief Innovation & Technology Officer of SlotMatic, is a finalist in the Rising Star category.
Together, the nominations cover four different dimensions of the business: technological innovation, end-to-end delivery, software capability and individual leadership.
SlotMatic said the nominations represent “an important test of a proposition built around applying artificial intelligence to the complete slot production cycle.”
Four nominations, one development model
Innovation in Casino focuses attention on the platform’s use of AI and multi-agent workflows, while the Software Supplier and Full-Service Platform Provider nominations assess its ability to translate that technology into scalable infrastructure and production-ready output.
Rather than operating as a collection of isolated AI tools, SlotMatic designs its proposition to support the entire journey from the first game concept to deployment.
The platform combines creative development, mathematical modelling, simulation, playable prototyping, quality assurance and engine production within a single workflow. This allows operators and studios to move between ideas, testing and implementation without relying on a fragmented chain of separate systems.
From an idea to a production-ready slot
SlotMatic was developed for a market in which operators require more frequent releases, greater localization and increasingly personalized content, while studios face rising costs across mathematics, design, testing and certification.
At the core of the platform is AGENTIX, a proprietary deep-reasoning engine that coordinates specialized AI agents across the creative, mathematical and production stages.
The system can validate game mathematics through large-scale simulations, analyse parameters including RTP, hit rate and volatility, and generate core outputs such as paytables, symbol distributions, paylines, probability analyses, playable prototypes and production-ready engines.
According to SlotMatic, its AI-powered production and validation workflows can reduce development time by up to 80% and cost per game by up to 50%, while supporting annual production capacity of more than 100 slot titles.
“These figures help explain why the EGR shortlist matters: the platform is not presenting AI as an abstract innovation, but as a response to measurable production, scalability and time-to-market challenges,” the company said.
Domenico Vacchiano and the human side of the technology
Vacchiano’s Rising Star nomination adds an individual dimension to the three company categories.
His work on SlotMatic brings together game development, artificial intelligence and product strategy, with a particular focus on using technology to improve both production efficiency and the quality of the final player experience.
“A feature is not decoration; it is engineered attention,” Vacchiano said, summarizing “an approach in which mechanics, mathematics and creative elements must contribute to the way a player experiences the game.”
For SlotMatic, this means using automation to accelerate repetitive and complex processes without removing human direction from creative and strategic decisions.
A wider presence across the EGR shortlist
The four nominations form part of a broader presence for projects supported by the same technology ecosystem.
Lucky Duck Studios, powered by Hub Innovation and SlotMatic, is shortlisted for Aggregator Platform. Pidiots, developed by Hub Innovation through SlotMatic Play, is also a finalist in the Freeplay Gaming Supplier and Acquisition and Retention Partner categories.
The combination shows how the technology is being applied across game production, aggregation, freeplay experiences, acquisition and retention rather than being limited to a single product layer.
The EGR Italy Awards winners will be announced on October 20, 2026, at the Rome Cavalieri. The winners are selected by independent external judges, with Deloitte verifying the final scores.
“For SlotMatic, the four nominations provide an opportunity to demonstrate that its AI-led model can be evaluated not only for novelty, but also for the software, infrastructure and leadership required to bring that innovation into day-to-day iGaming production,” the company stated.

NYCE commentary
Four nominations across innovation, software, platform delivery and leadership suggest that SlotMatic is being evaluated as a production system rather than a single AI feature. That distinction matters for studios and operators: the commercial value of AI will come from repeatable workflows that connect ideation, mathematics, quality assurance, compliance and deployment, not isolated generation tools.
The claimed reductions in time and cost are compelling, but procurement teams should test them against certified launches, laboratory remediation cycles, integration effort and live-game performance. The EGR recognition gives SlotMatic greater visibility; the strongest evidence will be a growing catalogue of independently tested products and operator deployments.
